The Center for Middle East Studies at Brown University invites applications for a one-year post-doctoral research associate position in Iranian Studies with a possibility of renewal for a second year. We especially welcome candidates who thrive in an interdisciplinary environment and whose work is informed by comparative and global perspectives. The Center is interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. The postdoctoral research associate receives up to two years of support, with the expectation that they will pursue research and participate fully in the intellectual life of the Center. Associates will teach one class a year for the Center for Middle East Studies, advise students, and participate in research-related programming on campus.
