The 2023-2024 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) competition is now open

The deadline for submission of a complete application, including all supporting documents, is 8 am, Monday, April 10, 2023.

Go to http://iris.wisc.edu/funding/students/ddra/ for information on the application process & campus guidance, documents, resources, and deadlines.

The Fulbright-Hays DDRA funds doctoral candidates (US citizens, nationals, or permanent residents) to conduct research in other countries in modern foreign languages and area studies for periods of 6 to 12 months. The grant does not fund research whose focus is on Western European countries (though it does allow & fund research visits to western European countries that are part of a larger project focused elsewhere).

We will offer 2 information sessions in the weeks ahead, one in-person and one online:

Thursday, February 16, 4-5pm
In-person: 336 Ingraham Hall

and

Tuesday, February 21, 5-6pm
Via Zoom: https://go.wisc.edu/DDRAInfoSession

Registration is NOT required for either session; they will be broadly similar so interested students need only attend one of the sessions.
