CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The Middle East Studies Program is pleased to announce a new competitive award for a graduate student lecture, to be delivered as part of the program’s lecture series in late Spring. The award includes a $500 honorarium.
Eligibility: Applicants must be UW-Madison students who have passed to dissertation candidacy, working on a topic related to the Middle East.
Submission details: please submit an abstract of your proposed lecture (500 word maximum) and cv. The abstract should highlight the topic, your scholarly intervention, and demonstrate how it relates to your larger project (whether it is your dissertation or a side project unrelated to the dissertation). It should be legible and compelling to scholars from various disciplines and subject focus. The final lecture should be 45-50 minutes in length and be conducted in person on April 22, 2024 from 12 – 1:15 pm.
