Middle East Studies in Memorial Library covers the Mashriq (مشرق) i.e. countries east of the Sinai Peninsula, the countries of the Saudi Arabian peninsula/Persian Gulf, Iran and Afghanistan. This collection includes materials from or about the region in the areas of: history, literature, linguistics, sociology, anthropology, economics, political science, religion, ethnic and cultural studies, women’s studies, and film studies.
