Back for the winter term in the snowbound Anatolian steppes, elementary school art teacher Samet longs to be transferred back to a school in his native Istanbul. As his career frustrations begin to slip out in the classroom, one of the few to escape his disdain is teacher’s pet Sevim, a bright eighth grader with an innocent crush on him. Their unspoken relationship comes under intense scrutiny when the faculty discovers a secret love letter Sevim’s written to Samet, and the two turn against each other.
