Congratulations to Yasmine Ansari for receiving the MESP conference grant to attend the Middle East Studies Association’s 59th Annual Meeting taking place in November! She is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies whose research explores how colonialism, imperialism, and biopolitics have shaped reproductive health, gender, and sexuality in modern Iran and the Middle East.
Graduate Student Ali Mansouri’s paper, Under Supervision or Underground: The Spaces of Contemporary Iranian Theatre has been published in the latest issue of Critical Stages Journal, a peer-reviewed, open-access web journal focused on theatre and performance art.
