Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad: Deadline on June 28

The Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (DDRA) Program provides opportunities to doctoral candidates to engage in full-time dissertation research abroad in modern foreign languages and area studies. You must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States to apply.

The deadline for students to submit their complete applications is 10:00 am, Thursday, June 28, 2018. Letters of support and language evaluations must be submitted BEFORE the student can submit their application. There are no exceptions to the campus deadline and no changes are allowed to the application after this deadline; incomplete applications will not be forwarded to the U.S. Department of Education.

Prospective applicants should contact Mark Lilleleht in the IRIS Awards Office (328 Ingraham Hall, awards@iris.wisc.edu, 608.265.6070) to discuss their application.  In addition, IRIS will offer a Fulbright-Hays DDRA information session & technical review workshop for UW-Madison students on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, 3:00 – 4:00 pm in 336 Ingraham Hall.
